The Bridgeview Bull Sharks Take It to Gillette
Earlier this summer a group of students from our Elementary II program along with their families ‘did a thing.’ Long time Bridgeview parent, Leslie Dominguez Santos, summed it up beautifully. This is the stuff that makes Bridgeview Montessori and our community of learners so extraordinary. ~ Suzanne Lawson
Oh my goodness. So much gratitude for these friendships and how they led to this day.
These 10, 11 & 12 year olds are Montessori pals who played soccer at recess every day. Seriously - every day. Many of them (my son included) have never played on a soccer team. But, they played at school and had a blast.
And then a mom found a 4x4 tournament at Gillette. And then another mom & a dad volunteered to work with them on skills. Another mom designed a logo and had shirts made. Another mom navigated all the tech issues. Three dads planned serious tailgating. And so on…..
A mixed aged group of peaceful Montessorians entering an age specific tournament against club teams….imagine.
And these guys - their friendship, their trust in each other, their grit- they blew us all away. The Bridgeview Bull Sharks took second place. Amazing.
So much gratitude and love.
Friends together leaving it all on the field! Go Bridgeview Bull Sharks.
